I posted on here, but no idea where it went. :/ Anyway. I said it was nice to hear since other message boards aren't as friendly as this one. Everyone here has been so welcoming even though I don't post much. Thank you! So the site is eating posts? Hmmmm, must let michlp know. I'm glad you were finally able to post and that you feel comfy here. We're a small group but you'll see that we're pretty cool because we've been on sites that read your profile to see how much you've posted before deciding on whether or not anything you say is valid  I've never been sure why people think that should matter before extending human courtesy. I get trying to determine whether or not you've got a bot or spammer in your midst but unfortunately, you can usually tell by comments that that isn't the reason. We really would like people to feel confident that, unless a post violates posting rules, if you post you won't be mocked or disregarded. Please feel free to let staff know if there's something more you'd like to see here or if you're unsure about something you want to post. |

Hi dianthusmoon! I know what spam is, but what is a bot? Must be my age that I don't know these things. Or being new to these boards. I used to be on a board for a short time for another series and it seemed like people enjoyed attacking others for their opinions. Im too old for that stuff!

Hi Amber73, my amateur understanding of a Bot is that it is not a human but a computer that posts stuff on Twitter or other sites. They aren't all bad, some just post nice pics. I don't know who is behind the computers though.

Hey @amberr73, casfan is correct in saying that a bot is an automated system that posts randomly (& often excessively) but is not set up to interact. It's basically a marketing thing to get attention. Unlike casfan, I've not had experience with bots being anything but annoying or inappropriate. Even when they're just posting pix, they're usually rotating through the same handful of pix repeatedly, with a caption or link asking you to come to their site or begging for followers...innocuous, I suppose but it drives me mad. |

I'm not sure why I didn't get the notification of this new participated thread. Hmm...I'll have to look into that one.  I saw your question regarding losing the post you were sending. The only advice I can give is to set your member profile to enable drafts while posting. Enabling Drafts will save your posts periodically during creation. How to set up Drafts... There is an option at the top of the forum for "Profile", click on profile. There you will be viewing your member profile and will have options to change forum settings. In the "View Profile" box on the top right you should see "Edit Profile", click on Edit profile. There are many options to customize the forum to your liking. The "Settings" category is what you'll need to enable Drafts. Click Yes for Enable drafts and then save account settings.  I hope I was able to help with that issue. Let me know if you have any more trouble with it.  Btw, THANK YOU for such nice compliments about this forum!!! We all appreciate the positive feedback. I completely agree with about other boards not being very friendly or welcoming. I'm so glad you decided to join our Supernatural group here! WELCOME!!!! Carry on posting!! lol  |
