We got free tickets for the Cubs game Wednesday night. They are good seats, right behind home plate.

I was able to get out of work a little earlier than normal so we can go to the game. The weather is supposed to be rainy...so fingers crossed that it doesn't rain!

We didn't go to the Cubs game due to the weather that day...it rained all day. Ironically it stopped raining that evening...and it was a night game. We probably should have gone, but the couple we were going to the game with cancelled on us. I guess they thought it was gonna keep raining. Oh well...maybe next time.

The weather has been very nice here...not too hot. The humidity isn't horrible yet either. *fingers crossed* lol.

Been far too long since I could post here!

Yesterday, mom & I went down on the waterfront and watched the boats and ducks and waves and enjoyed a beautiful day in the sun! No work, no shopping/errand running! For me, that's huge because if I'm not at work, then I'm shopping. If I'm not shopping then I'm going to kid birthday parties or babysitting and when I don't have to do any of those things, I'm trying to rest up for the next time I do. Yesterday I felt physically good (or as good as it gets)and the sun was out but it wasn't too hot/humid...the area wasn't crowded (though at one point this family dropped by and sat SO close that you'd have thought we were together. one of the kids even kicked me in the arm). I got to take some pix, which I've missed doing. And we managed to get home in enough time to avoid mass transit commuters. It was pretty perfect.

Sounds like you and mom enjoyed your time at the waterfront. It sounds lovely.

*I'm totally addicted to my free trial month of Netflix.

I've been out of control watching TV shows! LOL. I'm currently catching up on the show Weeds. I'm on season 5. Idk what I'm gonna do when the free trial runs out.
