According to the episode, January 14th. Rbn, Are they trying to kill us all making us wait til mid January??? Damn Hellatus... casfan, to my understanding, this rift with jdm...if there is one...started during kripke's rein. one theory is that he couldn't be available when kripke needed him due to other projects so kripke threw a tantrum and decided john just wouldn't come back. idk, sounds silly but he wouldn't be the first showrunner/producer to do something like that. HOLY TERROR I've gotta say, I actually liked this episode. Maybe because of the Zeke reveal (even though it appears Sam still doesn't know)...that went on far too long and while still a Dean-girl, I'm SO with Sam in that wasn't a decision Dean should've made for him. I mean, think about it...he let some entity he barely knew POSSESS his brother. I know the reason was good but that's pretty damned insane. I was kinda sad to see Kevin go, unlike some of the other ancillary recurring characters (Meg, Benny, Garth) I actually got attached to Kevin in his first appearance so him being dead is a disappointment. After the episode aired, Osric tweeted a really long goodbye that I found really touching. He took the adoption into this fandom seriously and seems really really into being part of it and truly sad to see it go (at least for now). OT--what's up with Orlando Jones and Stephen Amell live tweeting Supernatural? I know Amell is on Arrow and they are both CW shows....what is Orlando on and how did he get wrapped into the fandom? Anyhoo, I felt some consequences and jeopardy in his episode and I think I'd been missing that. They may undo it as they've done in the past but it felt deep. I was intrigued by the concept of angels being able to take and use another angel's grace. I wonder if there'll be any side effects for Cas (I refuse to use 2 Ss!). Dian, I neither liked or disliked this epi...kinda on the wire here. Holy Terror...more like Holy Crap! It was aan angel bloodbath...so many angels died violent deaths at the hands of their own brother and sister angels. Wow...a bit horrifying to me at the thought of this. A violent war between factions...angels battling over who was to conquer heaven. So evil...such corruption...chaos. Then the loss of Kevin was such a disappointment...he was definitely a favorite as far as the fans felt. I really enjoyed him at the Con this year...very funny...he fits right in with those crazy SPN past cast members. Lol. But I have to admit I didn't see that coming in the epi. I was hoping Kevin would have lived a little longer than he did on the show. So many talented people get written off the show. Sorry, ranting a little there for a second. Then there's the Sam/Angel possession mystery... Another corrupt angel trying to make a deal to help himself. I'm definitely not a Metatron fan myself. I don't like his part in controlling the angel possessing Sam.

Orlando Jones is on Sleepy Hollow which is on Fox on Monday nights at 9. I watch it and it's pretty good.

Castiel stole grace and became an angel again. Why didn't he do that sooner? lol. I'm wondering what repercussions Cas is going to have because he stole another angel's grace... Maybe the battle happening between Bartholomew and Malachi was necessary to get Cas involved. I think we could have done with less scenes of angels killing angels though. I have to admit when I first heard the name Malachi I immediately though of the movie...Children of the Corn. Lol.That's an old 80's movie...takes me back.

I never watched Children of the Corn. But I remember watching an episode of House Hunters on HGTV network and this woman wouldn't look at house near corn fields because of that movie. And what house did she and her husband buy? You guessed it, the one at the end of the cul-de-sac with the corn field next to it. Nut job. You know, for a program that Eric never wanted to bring in Angels, there have been a lot about them since he left as show runner. Strange. Oh, I was listening to the radio and the DJ was talking about this year's top names for babies: One I thought was really strange, Feline for a girl and the for the boy names: Leviathan. I think there were too many pregnant people watching Supernatural. And on another side note: I found this youtube video that is amazing. here's the link www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJ_MGWio-vc

I remember being scared after seeing this movie. Malachi was a scary and evil... There is definitely a huge part of the storyline involving angels. I wonder how Eric feels about all the angel involvement. Leviathan for a baby name? Are these people nuts to name their kids after an evil creature like a Leviathan? Cute video.

After being disappointed in Grimm, I've tuned out all of the other fairy tale based shows so I vaguely recall something about a Sleepy Hollow but I literally see nothing about it on tv anymore (maybe I'm thinking of another show...I'm picturing a black female cop and some dude???). But other than FX for American Horror Story, I don't watch anything FOX so perhaps it's not hard to see why I never see mention of it.
I really liked the darkness of the Holy Terror. I mean, we've been doing this angel in-fighting for a couple of seasons now so it's not really new so I think it was the execution (no pun intended)of how it's done. It felt like things were moving forward where things have felt stagnant for me for a while...very much treading water: Sam & Dean lying to each other, keeping secrets, favorite character killed and you can just feel the wheels turning about finding a way to bring those same people back next year, and then the really nowhere filler episodes (Dean as Dr Doolittle actually makes me mad...I'd rather see the racist truck again).
The show has felt stuck in a rut. Earlier seasons seem like they were leading to something but these last few don't seem to have a unifying mythology. I know Sera isn't popular with fans but if people are being honest, the show hasn't gotten better (more interesting or consistent) under Carver. Granted we're only mid season but this doesn't seem like anything is going to be resolved or even lead to anything more interesting. Kripke had a plan and it's very obvious that no one since him has had one. You can go back and look and see how even the smallest details lead to s5...but since he's left the helm, the seasons are barely cohesive with themselves...it's hard to link them together other than by the fact that we've got to find out how to 1) bring back someone who was killed 2) we've got to get the boys back together, physically &/or emotionally. Maybe I'm spoiled from the beginning of the series but this has been less than satisfying in the same way. Holy Terror, felt like we might be moving towards something and I was kind of invigorated. Kripke is too far removed...he needs his hands in this more.
