Tessa is fine but I hope she's there for a good reason and not just as fan service. Hmm...Good question. I liked her character's part as a reaper working for Death...I also liked her as an actress on Supernatural. I wonder if Death will be on this season again. Another good question...I loved this character/actor that played the part of Death. I hope we haven't seen the last of him...maybe Death will come "Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Heaven's Door" one of these days. **META FICTION** I wasn't sure I was gonna like this epi when Metatron started out with his storytime...lol. I did like the epi once I got into what was going on...Metatron is up to no good as usual. I don't know what he has in store for Castiel...it was like he was tormenting Cas. I did enjoy Dean's shower scene at the beginning of this epi...yummy...lol. **Alex Annie Alexis Ann** Fans don't seem to be thrilled with a filler epi at this point in the season. I agree...Vampires again? *I do not claim ownership of the characters and images! THIS IS NOT MEANT AS A COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT I AM SIMPLY A FAN! I DO NOT OWN THIS FOOTAGE!

see, i'm looking forward to vamps at this rate because other than dean's nekkid chest, i wasn't impressed with Meta Fiction. okay cas as maturing hunter was interesting but metatron is boring me and even gabe didn't make me happy...his lines didn't seem as witty as they have been in the past. and once again, leaning into fan wishes, they brought him back from the dead and you know how i'm tired of the loopholes for fan favorites.

I thought perhaps they made Gabe a bit off because he was really Metatron's version not the real Gabriel. I meant to post my comment about Cas here but I shouted it below. User error LOL.

Didn't like Meta Fiction or the vamp episode. Maybe it's just my mood lately. I keep watching the last couple of episodes and wishing that the writer's would answer unanswered stuff from previous season's. For instance, TNT had a marathon on one day last week and the episode where they had the Supernatural convention and it showed Chuck and I wished they would go back an answer why he just vanished on that season's finale or why the boys haven't bothered to wonder about it or even mention him again.

and what happened to the kid who was supposed to be the antichrist who just blipped away? they spend a lot of time treading the same ground. regardless of what tv crews say, i think they let fan wank rule them a lot more than they should. i think they are so busy trying to be 'meta' that they aren't developing story, they're writing fan fiction.
i didn't love "Alex Annie Alexis Ann". not because of the vampires but because they once again tried to turn it into a soap opera by making this about jody working through her grief. i like jody but why is this focused on her catharsis?
what i DID like was the look of the show. i liked that it had that darker look i was recently speaking about. that helps with a grittier feel but it can't solely make up for a lacking story.

BLOODLINES
Short summary: Warring monster factions.
I cannot express how much I hate this episode. I know I haven't been a fan of very many episodes in the last 2 seasons but OMG this is just awful. It's like Dallas with monsters; awful dialog delivered in a ham-fisted way and a who-gives-a-crap storyline.
What is happening to our show?!? I'm sure I'm in the minority though I cannot see how the fandom could approve of this silliness...the same fandom that's split on The Ghostfacers & hated the killer truck nonsense in Route 666. Seriously??? Monster mafia families? Who even cares? Once everyone knows about the monsters, they lose their cache. It happened in Buffy and Angel; you make the monsters part of society instead of the things that go bump in the night and they just seem really comical and you wonder how do so many people know about them yet they can still seem a surprise to the rest of the world. I think I just realized why I disliked the leviathans so much--because they were assimilating. They weren't good at being anything but cartoonish people and they weren't scary anymore so what was the point? Stop trying to make the monsters part of our society.

:throws pies at michlp: LOL
I saw it so opposite: I thought the acting was horrible! That actor that played Ennis reminded me of Dean & Sam playing Jared & Jensen in The French Mistake...the facial expressions and dialog seemed very exaggerated. I know I won't be watching this spin-off.

I HATED Bloodlines. First of all, an episode with the boys in less than half the episode? REALLY? Secondly, to have 5, FIVE, monster families that have gone completely under the radar by any hunter? Ridiculous. And finally to go against just about every bit of lore that's been in our show for this one was just laughable. A shifter (sorry, I almost typed Sh*tter), who doesn't have to shed his skin, a werewolf that can change anytime? Didn't we learn through the show that only Alphas can do that? Perhaps I'm wrong.
I don't know, I think the episode could have worked for those who watch Vampire Diaries or The Originals if it had actually been a show on its own with nothing to do with Supernatural or had Sam and Dean in it. But to have a Supernatural backed spin off with this episode being the jump off of it was stupid. If they powers that be were going to plan a TV spin off (like the internet spin off of Ghost Facers), why couldn't they have used the Ghost Facers or a character(s) and an actor(s) they've used already on the show like Garth (even though D.J. Qualls is now on Perception), or Sheriff Mills, or used the wild west Sam Winchester as a spin off or focused on a younger Bobby/Rufus team up, or a younger Family Campbell spin off. Why did they have to have a one off episode of Supernatural that goes against what we fans know, with characters and actors we don't know for a jump start on this stupid spin off? It was like using us Supernatural fans as a test audience and hoping we'll love these characters as much as we love our boys to get us to watch this asinine spin off. And why is the CW so focused on Vampires and soap opera drama crap trying to sell it and shove it down our throats. They have Vampire Diaries and they have The Originals why do we need yet another vampire family fighting with other monsters? As for the actors, I didn't know who they are and don't care for their acting ability. But maybe that was because I was so pissed off about tuning in for my weekly fix of Dean and got nobodies. I wished I had the phone number of the show runner so I could call him and ask him, "Why did you say yes to this episode, You wasted film and an hour of your show's fan's lives for this pablum?". After living through the crap Sera shoved down our throats for an entire season, we deserved better than this episode.
