THE SUPERNATURAL FAN MUSIC VIDEO CONTEST
One of the coolest highlights of the convention is the running of fan produced Music Videos honoring SUPERNATURAL, its themes and characters. If you are a talented video editor now is your chance to show off your creativity and vie for prizes at The Creation Salute to Supernatural Convention Tour 2012.
Rules: one music video about SUPERNATURAL may be submitted on DVD only (please no computer-based media like CD accepted). PLEASE USE ONLY NTSC FORMAT FOR YOUR DVD. Entries are judged on the following criteria: video quality, audio quality, editing quality, inventiveness, song selection, and originality. Humorous submissions are encouraged. Entries can not be returned, and person submitting entry is granting Creation the right to play this entry in perpetuity at Creation events worldwide and/or on line at the Creation website(s). Creation does not sell music videos so your entry will never be sold as a commercial product, just presented at our events/on line.
Winners will receive a $100 gift certificate good for Creation products. Winners will be announced and certificates awarded on site. Please tell us which specific convention the music video is for and send In your video using order confirmation or signature required in order to know if it has arrived. We do not announce winners until the event. All entries are due at Creation offices by September 14, 2012 with no exceptions. Thanks and good luck!
Note: Due to the high volume of entries for our Music Video Contests, we are forced to limit entries to those people actually attending the specific show they are entering for. You do not have to be present for the actual showing of your video, but you must claim your award on site before the end of the weekend or your award will be forfeited. Jensen is singing!
Most people know he has muscian friends, well one of them -- Steve Carlson, of whom I'm a big fan so this is doubly exciting for me -- is releasing 2 new CDs this year; one in September & one in November. The release in September is an album of cover songs called, "Sharing the Covers" (Steve's a naughty boy, for those who aren't familiar with him lol) and the CD in November, called "Different Town", is a CD of original music.
Looks like Steve got Jensen to do some lead vocals on "Sharing the Covers" and got Jensen's songwriting skills on again on "Different Town".
Both CDs will be released in the UK at official parties there but should be available to those in the states shortly after.
I like Steve's music but for those only interested in the Jensen factor, it might be worth picking up since we know how rare it is that he sings for the public. (I've got my CD of his duet of "Crazy Love" with Jason Manns in my emergency bag...you know, the bag of vital documents you can grab if you ever have to leave the ouse in an emergency...yeah, that CD is too damned hard to find if I were to have to replace it so it went in the bag LOL)

I was going to be getting both of these CDs anyway but with Jensen singing...there's no way I won't have them. I'm more excited for the releases. Even more reason (besides this gross hot weather) to wish the summer away lol.

Apparently Mr. Ackles was a lil naughty and flirty and sassy at Vancon (nothing inappropriate).
He invited a fan to feel his scruff. No, I am not joking. I'm waiting to see the vid but I was on twitter while people were live tweeting and twitter just about exploded! I'm not sure what she said but he told her to "come and feel it". Can you imagine being invited to feel Jensen's face??? OMG! And some girl was dressed as a pie and he asked her what kind of pie she was and she said "cherry" and he said in a naughty kind of way "Yeah, you are". Everyone reported he was probably the most loose that he's ever been...even people's photo ops looked less awkward. Somebody said that it wasn't Jensen, it was Dean at the con this weekend. I hope you get that Jensen at Chicon.
It's totally making me consider finding a way to do vancon next year. I even wanted to do karaoke (go, not participate lol). Jensen wasn't at karaoke but Mark Pelligrino sang songs from Rocky Horror Picture Show, Steve sang, Tim Omundson (from Psych, which also shoots up there & he's friends with Dick & Jim) crashed karaoke and sang and so did the actress that played Kali in "Hammer of the Gods". This is on top of Dick & Matt in their sparkly vests! Vancon is going to be hard to beat this year.
I need to win the lottery so I can do these cons & the other events I'm looking at lol.

I'm going to eek out some time today to look for vids on YT to see if anyone got it. And he did a meet & greet. Not sure whether or not this is new for him, I've never heard anyone say he did one before. I need to see if I can find the link to the fangasm report again. This is the same site that did the write ups for the Jensen Jam sessions (which I really wish he'd do again...and that I can afford to go) & apparently do books on the fan phenomenon, specifically Supernatural. They do pretty good accounts without being fangirly. Now I have to see if I can find it because I never remember the url. ETA: the link. That was easy lol. I've never been on that site before...Btw, I love the name of the site! ;D I also love that Jensen reminisced about Kim Manners. *sigh*. Jensen is so adorable. As my niece would say about a boy in a boy band..."He's dreamy". LOL ;D

I'd gone to that site a few times before but never bookmarked it, so I did this time. I also signed up for the email of the blog posts. I really do enjoy how they are total fans but not annoyingly so. Sometimes really fan fangirls get silly with the 'fan speak' and either don't wind up really telling you anything or you can't understand what they're saying.
I'm going to look at vids today (never got to it yesterday) to try and find the face stroking. I saw a captioned gif on tumblr but I still want to see the vid (& I don't know how to post a gif here lol).
I would LOVE to do a M&G, they just go for so much money! I think it's a charity auction but still, these things can go from hundreds to thousands of dollars and that's a lot on top of the other con expenses. However, if I find myself having the money by the time they go on sale, I'd go in a heartbeat! I'm wondering if he did it because it was Vancouver; he's already in town & getting in and hanging around requires less effort than when he's doing a con in another city.
