Wow.
Just found this out. It looks like NJ next yr is still included but I guess it's been announced that there won't be any breakfasts for at least Burbank (so far) next year.
No concerts, no breakfast...no reason for me to buy a gold ticket again (if I ever decide to do another Creation show after next year). Sure you get better seats for the panels...if you had a good seat in the first place...but I'm not sure that equates to the cost of that ticket level.
I'm not one who does autos but even if I were, I'm told you're not getting as many of the main people in the gold package so you still wind up buying a bunch separately. They're making the distinction between the ticket levels less but charging more.
Anyway, if you are attending/reupping for a Creation con next year and intend on doing gold, you may want to really check into what you're getting for the money.

I know they are having the breakfast at the Chicago Con this year...but not sure for next year. Does anyone know what's up with the breakfast?

wow, the new layout brought this post to my attention again. i'd forgotten i brought this up here.
apparently this is a trend since the nj breakfast is now a lunch-in-your-lap, regardless of the impression they wanted to relay in the email to one of the fans that inquired.
i have no issues with a lunch instead of breakfast...not being a morning person, i like the fact i wouldn't need to rise early...but i, like the others, would expect a sit down AT A TABLE affair, not a lunch box in your panel seats. that part sucks.

What are your con plans? Are you going for a day or for the whole thing? Who are you most looking forward to? Is this your first con? Spread your excitement!

Wooooo hooooooo!! I'm there! I can't wait. I'll be with my usual group...rbnfrancis & witchcraft13. Crafty will be doing her vendor table again this year. Rbn and I have preferred tickets for Sunday....and I'm guessing we are gonna get general for Friday and Saturday. I have to check the availability of the general tickets for those days.

I just got my email about the Fangasm report on Jensen's meet & greet for Vancon; are you guys doing anything extra? I know you usually do gold...any chance of splurging on meet and greets or VIP experience? Are you going to miss the gold perks (few that there really are)?

I know you usually do gold...any chance of splurging on meet and greets or VIP experience? Are you going to miss the gold perks (few that there really are)? We do have a photo op with Jensen...that's our only extra this year. I'm sure we are gonna miss some parts of having a gold ticket...but a lot of it was a big waiting game. We spent a ton of time in lines for pics and autographs...I felt like the tickets were a little overpriced for what we actually got. I think we will miss the breakfast and the cocktail party that comes with the gold package...but not really anything else. I'd rather enjoy my time sitting and watching the Q&A panels...we could do that with preferred or general seating. I like the extra fun in the evenings...like the karaoke or the costume party. This year I think I read something about a Halloween costume party...that will be fun. I did see on the Creation site that the general admission tickets for Saturday are sold out. Dammit!

I have to go back and look at the itinerary because I thought the costume party was the karaoke party. Do you intend on participating in the costume party? Do you have a costume idea already?
I enjoyed the panels. I wouldn't want to miss them standing in lines for things, so I totally get that rationale. Seems like you get less for the money, but they're the only game in town. Not that it can't be a good time, you just have to decide how to get the most bang for the bucks you're willing to spend. I hear pretty much every ticket level has a great time. Well, except for GA; I do hear complaints that there aren't enough seats and people are standing in the back-- and not because they want to, like the staff will tell you. I went single day preferred and it was pretty good seating...though it was NJ and probably a smaller venue than Chicago. I think that's the cheapest I'd go because I do want to sit during the panels and I don't want to wait in line to try to beat others in to get a seat.
