*HELP FROM ALL STAFF, MEMBERS, & GUESTS*

ASKING FOR HELP FROM ALL STAFF, MEMBERS, AND GUESTS WITH THIS FORUM.
As you all know most of us met on the CW message board. When the message board was shut down we were all kind of lost without our SPN home. For some of us we wandered around other forums trying to find a new home. Some were lucky enough to have found forums that suited their liking. Yet others were still searching with no luck. Myself and a few others made a group decision to start our own forum...somewhere we can call home. We now have a safe place to call home...a place where we can talk with friends about our favorite show Supernatural. This is where the problem lies... No one is participating in this forum. We have had a few members posting on different boards...but lately no one is posting anywhere but "The Clubhouse" board. That is a place to chat with friends about everyday stuff. That is all fine and good...but what about all the other SPN boards? What happened to talking about the show? Myself and a couple others have taken time in creating this SPN playground for us...now let's play! When the CW board was active...members posted about the show. I think we have all gotten away from that here. I love talking with my SPN friends...but I also love talking about Supernatural. I thought we all had a deep passion for this show and it's fabulous cast. I live and breathe Supernatural. I know you all do too. If we are going to keep this forum alive we need to make it active. It has been getting slower lately and to be honest it is getting tiring to keep this up...especially if it is going unnoticed. Some of us have put a lot of time into posting important Supernatural information for everyone to view. I know guests and members are viewing the threads and posts, but no one is joining in the threads. I'm not sure why? If we want this forum to succeed we need active boards. It shouldn't just be a few people posting and others just lurking. I am asking for all of your help with this matter. I don't want all of the hard work to go unnoticed. We need to hear feedback from the members and staff about the existing threads and posts...but we need more active members. Feel free to post your own threads. Please staff, members, and guests, join us in our attempt to make this SPN forum a go. Without your help we will have failed in our attempt to create a SPN environment. This is safe and informative place to talk about SPN.



I want to personally thank everyone who has put time and effort into posting threads and response posts on our various SPN boards. We have the Welcome Wagon, General, Creative, SPN Con info, and Suggestion boards. We have some great fanfic, artwork, singing, and fanvids on our creative board. We have a lot of informative SPN info on our general board. We also have important Con info posted on our SPN Con board. Now all we need is your help to keep them active. Come on guys... Please make our SPN forum fun so others will join in the fun too. I know we can do this if we all put a little effort into this. It can work...all we need is YOU.


I'd like to hear some feedback from our staff and members about this situation. Please post here if you have anything to add or anything you'd like to say. I'm all for listening to what you guys need or want. Guests too can join and comment here. Let's see what the census is for keeping this forum afloat. Please help before we start to sink. It's sink or swim at this point. This way we'll know the future of this SPN forum.

Now is also the time to say that the show is not as important to you as it used to be; if you're just here to talk in general…maybe occasionally bring up the show…then don't be shy in saying that either. It'd make the staff's job clearer as to whether or not we should be striving for more show content.

I enjoy this board. I enjoy talking in "the clubhouse". I do wish it could be a more inviting place for new folks to participate; I think the conversation is often so personal (& down) because we've known each other so long, that a new person might not know how to jump in. And since that's the most active board…well, it just may not be for everybody.

I can go either way, if it's going to be a chat room then fine, but let's get it out there otherwise staff is going to continue to futilely break our necks trying to be more about the show. I'd love to talk about the show. Even griping about it is good. I know this isn't all people have to consider in a day but I thought we liked to discuss the show for the escape. Whatever the case, I'd like to see us all on the same page.

We lack in numbers. I would love if we could make this more active I dont really know how mabye I need to find more time. yall have known me since this show started I feel like I grew up with you guys.we can have weekly episode discussions. idk gus.

This isn't about making anyone feel bad or put anyone on the spot. We want more activity....additional members would be great but we also want to make sure we're doing enough to keep current members wanting to participate. Since it's been kind of dead, we're not sure if there are outside circumstances or whether people are not interested in what we're talking about right now. We know there are boards that are far less active than us but we also know there are a couple who are way more busy that us, so we're tryint to figure out what makes one board fly while another flounders.

We want to encourage members to use the suggestion board. We want people to feel free to start threads or to jump into established threads. But sometimes people don't feel like they can do that so here is where we'd like them to say what it is that would make it a better experience and we as staff will try to make it work.

As staff, we're not all going to be able to get in here everyday, but we do want to look involved; if we don't show interest in our own board, who will?

And because this is our board, let's figure out what we really want. Michele has put so much work into getting this place set up & trying to keep it relevant...if it's not working as is, let's stop & regroup so those staff energies go in the right direction.

Are there not enough threads or too many? Should we talk about the show more or less? Do you want to see contests &/or polls? Please let us know what you'd like to see. And if your participation isn't contingent on anything we offer or will ever offer, then say that too. It's ok, we just need to know if it's something we're doing/not doing that keeps people away.

Staff, feel free to throw ideas out there too. Can you add anything to the site, let's talk about it, if not here then PM/text/email/etc.

Thanks for your input Ash and Dian. I knew we were on the same page here...now all we have to do is make it work. There lies the problem. How to get it to work? I think if we all just do what we do best...talk about Supernatural. That what we know and love. We all have a passion for SPN...unlike other fan bases. SPN fans are different...we're dedicated 100% to the show and the cast. It seems simple to me in some ways...let's get this board active and moving. We've done it before on the CW board...we just have to try a little bit harder. Because like Ash had said..."We are lacking in numbers". This is true. But as Dian said..."we do want to look involved; if we don't show interest in our own board, who will?". We have members and guests checking it out. Now all we need to do is get them involved too. We are all on the same page here...it's about SPN and having friends to talk about it with. Then in some cases there has been great friendships made because we've met people likes ourselves who share the same passion for the show. We have been fortunate to be able to get to know each other personally through the message board. We are very lucky in some ways...it makes me happy. And you are right Ash..."yall have known me since this show started I feel like I grew up with you guys." You did grow with us Ash...we love you too!




Let's see if we can get members to respond on this subject and we'll take it from there. We really need the feedback from our members and guests. We want to know want you need or want here. Please tell us so we can make this a comfortable SPN environment for all. If you don't feel that there is any issues...then jump in any discussion on any board. Create your own...this is like a SPN palette for your thoughts.

This request is from my heart. I'm really hoping everyone else feels as strongly about the show. I know we are all die-hard SPN groupies. Now let's start acting like it!

I know I get made fun of from friends and family about my SPN obsession. LOL! I don't care. I walk around with my SPN t-shirts and get teased...I hold my head up high. I think others are jealous because they don't understand. I like to tell people it's like a cult! Be afraid! ;D Hahahaha

I hope they feel comfortable enough to jump in and introduce themselves. I also hope they aren't put off by all of this talk; we're a relatively new board...a work in progress...we just don't want to go too far in the wrong direction (if we are).

Even newbies can suggest ideas for the forum.

I hope they join in and introduce themselves too. I don't think anyone will mind this chatter in this thread. It just makes it look like we are really passionate about the show and this SPN board. I think this should help in our efforts to survive. Let's just say it couldn't hurt because we weren't getting their attention with what we were doing before. We'll see what happens.

Hi. I would love to discuss our show, with people on at different times it is a bit difficult but a conversation could take place over more than one day too. I am only on Twiiter so not sure what is going on at other sites. Twitter isnt really set up for involved posting. I hope more people post here and new people join. I will make more of an effort to come by everyday, I like it here.
