Thanks for chiming in, casfan. It's quite difficult to work around the time zones, though our resident night owl, Michele (lol) is often up in the wee hours.
We could definitely support a conversation carried out over days. Is there anything in particular you'd want to talk about; if so, feel free to start a thread about it (thread starting isn't just for staff!). If it's something that staff needs to address, submit it in the suggestion thread so we can work on it.

Maybe during one of my insomnia nights I can check in. I turn off the pc to try to force myself to sleep (as suggested by docs--turn off everything) but sometimes that doesn't work & doing too much posting by iPod is not convenient.
Itis nice when we can actually talk instead of reply to the posts from the previous day.

It is nice when we can all chat and be online together. That was cool today. Hopefully we stay in tune with each other...

Hi peeps. If you are the night owls I am the early bird. I start work at 06:00 am!!! I have to post on the sly so it is tougher. Twitter is limited to 140 characters per post so only short replies are possible. You can also post links to pictures, videos from various places like tumblr, youtube, etc. You don't have to join to go on and look at people's sites and see what they have posted, you just need their twitter name. Mine is misscasfan. You can see what I have posted and what all I follow have posted too. The the CW board people carried on conversations on threads over time, I have gotten out of the habit. Everyone seemed to pop in and put in their 2 cents worth. I hope new people here know they can join in, we are harmless!

Twitter does have some benefits like you said, casfan but yes, the character limit can be a bother if you're really into talking about something.
I'm not a morning person but since my body seems to want me up most days around 6:30aEST, I try to check in when I get up. Once I get back to working, I know I'll have to figure something else out for checking in.

You can be the resident early bird then. ;D Although you might have to compete with Dianthusmoon...you guys are both on so early. Now with me working I'll be on late at night. When I'm off from work I can jump on here a lot earlier. Well early for me.
I really know nothing about Twitter. I guess I always had the thought that I can't do another social network. I can't keep up as it is. That's probably how you feel about Facebook.
I hope we get back into the habit like the good old days of the CW message board. Boy I never thought I would say those words. But it was nice to pop in there at any time and someone would be on. Or like you said...we'd carry a conversation on for days. It didn't matter because we always had that familiar ground. I'll never understand why they had to shut down the message boards. BUT we've regrouped and regained our composure. We had to "set up camp" somewhere else. Unfortunately we lost so many people. I hope we grow in numbers so we can get that same vibe going here too. We all have that passion for SPN...we are a unique fan base. Btw, I agree...we are harmless! It is using the good old mobile web. It's not like the internet on a smart phone. Mine seems like a prehistoric phone with all this new technology I see out there.
I still can't believe I can check in here from time to time from my phone. Not from work too often though. I can't get caught using my cell phone at work.

Michele, I'm not sure I can check in from my cells. I do have one that's a smart phone but with either phone, like with this iPod, longer posts are not convenient to do from the tiny screens & keyboards. It certainly can be done but it's just not as convenient. Right now I'm on iPod but it feels limiting.

I just have a regular texting phone with a texting keyboard. I get the internet on it though so I can go on our site and I can post. It is not as easy to negotiate and get around as a computer LOL. I am either on a big computer network or on my tiny lil phone. I must get a netbook or something. I keep saying that. I am always way behind on technology (lame). I'm not supposed to be on here sometimes (eyeroll) but I am a naughty girl. Employers are so lame about this issue. They will have to change their tune when younger people enter the workforce. They are used to being online etc. all their lives.

That's how my primary cell is: a texting phone with rudimentary web capabilities. But I can get on twitter & fb si I could probably get on here, I just imagine it'd be a lot of work. My android cell would probably do it with less problems but it'd just be the issue of the virtual keyboad, like on the iPod. So I do quick pop ins from the handheld devices but anything intense, I'd need the pc on. I went to bed early last night; we were expecting a furniture delivery Saturday but the place called & decided to deliver it today...between 10 and 5 yeah, that's not vague at all. So though 10 isn;t really early & I'm usually up anyway, I wanted to be up and rested & my brain doesn't thaw right away when I wake up.
