Afternoon all I'm off today and tomorrow. I woke up at 6:30 and got the trash out, washed some blankets, had breakfast (and tea!), washed dishes, colored my hair -- all before noon. And I got straight up and didn't need a bunch of time to get it together...odd for me. I usually need at least 30mins to wake and get my muscles and joints to agree with doing anything. I think it has a lot to do with the cooler weather and the fact that I stopped eating bread, pasta and potatoes the other day. I have issues with carbs...they are a weakness and I usually get some benefits of leaving it alone (weight loss). It's hard but I think it needed to be done. I think it stresses my system to digest that stuff. But boy do I want it LOL I also want some chocolate. I may get it. I'm still allowing myself sugar because I use it to make iced tea and I'm not giving that up. I don't want a nap as bad as I normally do at this point in the day on a day off but I may rest up from being up sp crazy early. And yesterday I went from work to shopping (I didn't have to drag out of the house today )...got enough stuff to last a couple of days, once again managing to not lug tons of stuff home...so I'd like to give my feet and ankles some off time. I think that until one of us gets a car, I'm going to resign myself to the fact that I'm going to need to shop for 2-3 days at a time...any more than that and I wind up taxing my body by carrying too much stuff home. Just finished watching Abandon All Hope right now...west coast live feed on the TNT app...Sam, Interrupted is just starting. Almost time for lunch, probably past time but I'm waiting until these episodes go off . I think I'm going to start dinner too...I bought chicken leg quarters and I think I'm going to bake them. Not sure what I'm going to do for lunch. I might just have some more scrambled eggs and cucumber. It's so hard to do without the bread! But I've got to cut back and I can do this. I'm going to try not to think of the burgers and hot dogs I want right now LOL though I may allow myself a cheat day so I can have these things and my mind won't be preoccupied with the cravings. But for now, I need a few more days without before earning any cheat time. Okay, going to focus on the show. TTYL PUDDING!

Hi! The spa day was lovely with the girls! I enjoyed the time spent with the family and the relaxation. The massage was good...but maybe a little too much pressure. I usually can handle the deep tissue massage...but this was a little too much. I have a few bruises. The pedicure was nice and relaxing. We got to sit all together in an area that was slightly more private...so it was nice to sit and talk. We also enjoyed talking to the nail techs that we had. It was so cute...about halfway through the pedis my dad dropped off my nieces at the salon so they could get their nails done. Lol. I actually gave my manicure in my spa package to my older niece..because I have gel nails on my nails I couldn't get a manicure. So then we couldn't leave the little one out so we had her get her nails polished. She looked so little and cute getting her nails done. The nail tech who did my nieces was awesome. She had 5 girls at home...so needless to say she was perfect. She even made designs on every nail for the girls...so detailed and cute! They loved their nails! It was very cute to watch too. dianthusmoon, We didn't do lunch afterwards...but we did do dinner at my parent's house. Lol. My mom actually prepared the meal earlier in the day so it was ready for us later. Very cool of her to do. We enjoyed our day together. Thanks for the cooking tips. I can attempt that...but let me remind you that I'm cooking challenged. Lol. It always looks and sounds easy enough...I'll do my best. Haha Yes, I am inside all day at work...and with no windows! I always have to get out of the building and go outside for lunch. Even if it is as far as just my car...as long as I go outside. Lol Regarding the clearance racks...I like to shop at the store I work at because of the discount too. That is the biggest perk to working there. I love the clearance racks at work, then add the discount...sweet! I'm kinda picky too when it comes to where I "bargain" shop though. I hate thrift and second hand stores.(sorry, just do) I can barely handle stores like Marshalls, TJMax, Burlington, Ross...just to name a few. Lol. I don't like having to dig through unorganized racks of random stuff. That does not amuse me, but some people like to do it. **Another happy thought! I'm about to go watch Supernatural season 8 on DVD. I'm so excited! I got the DVD's from amazon...love that site. That's site is addicting! LOL

I've been a busy bee over here...but I found time to watch an epi of season 8 every night. I'm really getting excited for the new season to start. It's almost here!

Been busy and tired here too so I'm behind in getting in here.
At Aldi, they had Ghirardelli brownie mix! Of course I had to get some and it was DELICIOUS! And cheap...it was only 1.89 a box. I wanted chocolate for a while so I decided to get it...only one box though...should've gotten a second lol. I also got their store brand ice cream -- chocolate, of course...and it was so good for cheap ice cream! I want more of both so bad right now! I was really glad that the brownies turned out because the last time I had a brownie craving, I got Aldi's brand and it wasn't very good. There weren't awful but they were more like bread than chocolate brownies. The ice cream was cheap too, 2.79 for the same size the big name brands are selling for $4-5...it's not the half gallon size (no one seems to do that size anymore)...it's whatever those rectangle boxes are now.
The brownies were warm and I put the ice cream over it...I can't stop thinking about it!

Dian, now I want chocolate LOL. I rarely buy ice cream so was surprised the first time I noticed they don't have the half gallons anymore, smaller containers same or higher prices! Glad you found some good bargains.

*Drooling...thinking about warm delicious brownies* Omg that sounds so good right now. Ironically I went for a couple things at the grocery store today. Of course I spent way more than I should have. I went shopping hungry...lol. Never do that! Haha. I actually didn't get most of my stuff that was on my list at home...but I did get some good deals. I was surprised because this wasn't the cheap grocery store...I only usually get a couple things there...but the sales were amazing. The store was pretty busy too...so I'm thinking they must have lowered the prices to stay competitive. So that was cool. Another good thing happened today. I thought I broke my retainers beyond repair, so I went to the orthodontist thinking I'm gonna have to buy a new set of retainers. Well he cleaned them up and told me they were fine. He just adjusted them a bit. So I saved myself $290 that we didn't have anyway to spend. So yay!

Cool about the retainers! I thought they'd be even more expensive than a couple hundred dollars but it's good you didn't have to spend it either way.
Nothing much going on here except work so I'm a little light on happy talk but I'll say that oddly enough, acetaminophen is starting to work for some pain relief. Maybe I never took it long enough in the past to get in my system but it seems to take the edge off the foot pain I'm having. Not a long term solution but it's nice to get some relief (this is provided I can also stay off my feet while it works).
My vacation is coming up quickly...just next month. No plans for it except to enjoy it and hopefully not spend it running around.
And the new season of Supernatural started last night! I had my pie, beer and burger, as I have every season premiere since s4. I got the burger from Wendy's. It'd been so long since I set foot in a fast food place that it looked like a spaceship lol. They've got these new drink machines where you fill your own cups and ever soda comes in flavors. I wanted ginger ale and under ginger ale, there were 5 different flavors. It was oddly cool, once I figured out how to work the thing. Anyway, I enjoyed the episode...it was good to have them back on my tv. Anxious to see what others thought.

Happy Supernatural fan!!! Yeah! The premiere was incredible...great start to season 9. I got a couple things accomplished that I had been wanting to do around the house. Nothing too exciting but glad it's done. I washed my windows...it was such a nice day outside I decided to. The other task I got accomplished was going through the file cabinet. Lol. I couldn't even open or close the drawers. I shredded so much stuff. Much better now. Speaking of weather...beautiful! It has been in the low 70's during the day. Amazing weather for October. dianthusmoon, That is an awesome season premiere ritual you have going on over there! Lol...perfect mood setting for Supernatural.

I read that as 'being in the same hotel room with Jensen' LMAO
I'm happy today that I'm off! Granted, I've got to run to the store but hopefully it's a short trip and I can come back here and do nothing. Days off are going to be rare so I'm trying to really take advantage of them.
There are more hours/shifts available to pick up, which is good because I need to money, but that means I'm only having one day off for every 7-8. At least up until vacation, which is in a couple of weeks (October flew by!). After that, I hope to be caught up on some financial obligations and can ease back on needing to pick up so much extra work. That's a good thing about this job's scheduling system.
Ok, need to throw on some clothes and run to get some food in this house then get back here and catch up on my sitting down lol
