Wow what did you and Jensen whisper to each other lol. I think I would faint, be too nervous and shy, have heart failure! Glad you had fun at the con.
Happy Anniversary, that year went by fast!
I had a birthday lunch at Ruby Tuesday with 2 sisters, no cake! I was surprised they didn't offer desserts, do they have them lol. I was too full anyway. I got myself doughnuts and pastry as a treat this past week.

I'm pretty sure they have dessert! Granted it's been a while since the two closest to me...which weren't all that close...closed And I've still got an unused gift card. I don't mind getting gift cards but I wish the folks who gave them to me spent the time in picking them out that I do. It can take me as long to get the appropriate card as it would a gift because I find out what the person likes AND if they have a location near them or shop online. I've got two restaurant cards that I've had for a year because I can't get to the places to use them. Thank goodness they don't expire or get charged fees. Okay for happy stuff...I do like Thanksgiving. It takes a lot of prep and buying food is a financial obligation but it still seems less a financial drag than Christmas. Thanksgiving still feels like it's about something more than what you can do or spend, ya know?

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving holiday and weekend!! We had a lovely time at my hubby's Aunt and Uncle's house for Thanksgiving dinner. Omg so much food!!! We ate ourselves silly!..lol. Everything was delicious. I made an appetizer...sticking to the basics for me. Lol. Making a meal/feast like that is way out of my league with cooking. Another fun thing we do every year is watch the movie Christmas Vaction . Omg I love that movie! So funny. My coworkers and I are constantly quoting lines from the Christmas Vaction movie all day long at work. Lol. *Supernatural chat...Loved the last epi! I'll post about it in the s9, THE ROAD SO FAR thread.

It's been hard to find things positive recently so I'm going to have to be thankful and happy about smaller things: like chocolate! and the nutty cat who every morning jumps on my bed and walks up me to my face and wakes me up! And I found freeze pops in my freezer...I thought we were out of them...so I was able to suck on them to relieve my throat. And I'm thankful my brother always has a better stocked bar than I do; I couldn't make it to thanksgiving so he sent me some brandy for my cold. If I had done like my mind told me, I'd have gone to the liquor store the day before, but I didn't and it was literally in the middle of the night where the symptoms came on me (which was weird) and the next day was Sunday when liquor stores are closed. I'm sure my dad's gift to me and mom will be tens of bottles of booze for our little bars, but I've really gotta make sure I don't let it run out for times like this.

I totally know what you mean about sometimes not finding happy things to post here daily. I'm struggling myself with this right now. Lol. Ummm...I'm gonna go with the highlight of my day here...I got a front parking space at work today...the very 1st spot. That put a smile on my face at least. ::)It rarely happens this time of year...so I was pleasantly surprised. Lol.

IT'S THE WEEKEND AND I'M ACTUALLY OFF!
Oddly, I'm getting a lot of Saturday's off during this holiday. It's odd because normally, I'm on schedule 3 out of 4 Saturdays...now I think I've worked one each month since our holiday started. I'm not complaining.
And I wasn't scheduled for NYE or NYD--I thought for sure I would be.
At the 11th hr, someone actually wanted to work my overnight shift and give me their day shift! So I've not had to call out one day that I thought I would because of the kooky hours I was given! I thought there'd be 4-5 days I'd be penalized for but it worked out that something came through that I got rid of that schedule. So that's good news. I really don't want to burn through credits since I need them for when I need to call out sick and I'm already in single digits because of my most recent illness. Need to build them back up, this helps.

I can't believe it's New Year's Eve! We're still trying to figure out what we're doing...lol. Hopefully we'll be able to get into a restaurant without reservations. Last year we got lucky, we walked right in and got seated. Anyone have any exciting New Year's plans this year? HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
