2014 is starting out pretty well. not that anything huge has happened...matter of fact, most things haven't changed BUT the heaviness on my spirit seems to be lighter...it's not as hard to function...I can't explain it. maybe depression is lifting and things don't feel as hopeless. i had a nice new years (even though it started with idiots outside the house shooting guns at midnight)with family and good food/drink, some nice gifts that i wanted. still trying to figure out how to spend my birthday loot. once again i spent most of it on non-birthday stuff so I owe myself that money back, which should give me time to figure out how to use it. i made a lil list of things i'm considering...not many things but still i'm trying to prioritize. i keep starting over because when i see the list getting too mundane, i cross it out and start over trying t think of things i want more than need...little treats. so stupidly, this has taken a while; i keep writing stuff down and when i look back, it looks like a regular shopping list! right now i've got it narrowed down to some new fragrance, some earrings, some garden stuff and then slippers, an ipod charger and replacing a champagne flute from this set of crystal i have. see how those last three things just sound like stuff you need around the house? not sure whether to leave them on or not. so far all i've bought was a couple dvds from walmart (so you know they were cheap lol).
3 days til midseason hellatus is over!!!!

Hi, have you seen our boys in their tuxes, THUD. They presented best animated movie at the Critics Choice Movie awards. It was on the CW so some of the presenters were from CW shows. A room full of big stars but I wanted to see J2. There are pics and videos of them all over. Jensen, Danneel and Jared did the red carpet and a couple of interviews. I assume Genevieve stayed home with the new baby. No name announced yet!
Sounds like we will get another season, hope so, that would be the happiest news ever!
Dian maybe get some treats and some more necessary items, a combo!

Finally some happy news!!! Lol. The weather oddly warmed up today...49!  We've been in this deep freeze and snow pattern the entire winter so far. This is the warmest I've felt it outside in quite a while. The sun was out and the snow started to melt...we'll see how long this lasts!!  |

Same type of happy news for me, only the temp only got up to 41 which is a heck of a lot better then barely 20 or lower, but it rained heavily yesterday so it was tricky to drive with all the rain on the road plus the snow melt. My poor dog was having a hard time trying to go potty in the 3 1/2 feet of snow that was in the yard.

We've been in the 20's and low 30's here...better than below zero.  We've had a good start melting some of this snow the last few days...but it looks like we're gonna get a little snow again before it drops again in temps.  I better stop talking about the weather and get out of the HAPPY thread before I ruin my happy post! Lol!!!  |

Our heater if fixed, finally!
It'd died almost a week ago, after tinkering with it ourselves, we had to call someone out...they weren't able to come until this past Tuesday. They replaced a part and found out that wasn't the problem (or it wasn't the ONLY problem...still not sure which statement applies), so they had to come out yesterday and replace another part; THAT got things working again!
It cost more, of course, but at least it works again.

WOO HOO! FOUR DAYS OFF!
wonderful, soft rain falling down yesterday and today--I love rain especially when I don't have to worry about lightning and thunder (even though it was predicted). It helps me sleep and just relaxes me so much. I will have to run errands tomorrow but with this many days off in a row, I won't have to go back to work feeling run down.

We had 60 degrees Sunday, Monday a bit of rain but north and west of me had blizzard, big snow plus tornado watch! Freaky state!

I started my new job today! So far so good...I liked it. I kinda felt like a fish out of water in a new location...but it is all familiar at least. Hopefully my day 2 will be even better...*fingers crossed*. dianthusmoon, I hope you enjoyed your days off! casfan, Wow! Nice warm up you had in the 60's. Our weather has been crazy here too...back and forth.  |

I have my new laptop up and running!! I love it! I'm sorry that I procrastinated so long to set it up. I was using my dad's laptop for a while...but I gave it back to him on Sunday. Plus, my old netbook was running Windows XP and I was having tons of issues with it. This new laptop is running Windows 7, which I prefer over Windows 8. I got a great deal on the Walmart site. Very happy with my purchase.  |
