DID YOU GET YOUR TICKETS? *hangs head in shame*. No.... We're really struggling with the bills right now...so I've been trying to hold out putting that much money on my credit card. General admission is still available...so we better move on it if we're gonna do this Con. I'll contact rbnfrancis.

General admission could be good if you just want to get in the venue for photos & autos. Dick & Matt & Rob tend to run the length of the room so their panel will still be pretty good if getting up close is a concern. Do they still do the auction for the meet & greet? I'm so out of the loop when it comes to cons these days.

For the most part I enjoyed Chicon 2014. The Hyatt Regency hotel was amazing...so much more accommodating than the previous hotels. I was a bit worried at first because the hotel was hosting more than our convention at the same time that weekend. One of the other Con's there was Transformers...that was another large Con with lots of fans. There was always enough parking at the hotel and always enough room to find a seat somewhere in the hotel while we were waiting in between panels. rbnfrancis and I liked to people watch near the hotel's lobby...such a pretty view from any angle...the hotel was almost futuristic. I was impressed anyway. Funny thing happened one time we were in the lobby...we saw police in the lobby, so I asked at the hotel desk what was going on with the police. The hotel employee tells me that there were SPN and Transformers fans heckling each other. OMG...really? I got a laugh out of that one. Also our friend from here witchcraft13 seemed to have better customer flow with the location they had the venders at this hotel. She was right outside the Con doors...which made her very visible to fans. She sells cool SPN jewelery there. There was a noticeable amount of actors missing from the panel this year though. Most of the women from the show weren't there like in the previous years...so that was disappointing. I was way more entertained by Misha and Mark Sheppard's panels... Misha kept saying "Ummmmm..." after asked a question and a fan pointed it out to him. He didn't realize before how many times he said "Ummm..." before he answered. It was so funny because he kept doing it even though he was consciously trying not to say it. LMAO!!! I really enjoyed that. Mark's panel was also very funny...he's a great actor/speaker on stage. He had us in stitches most of his time on stage...lots of making fun of "the boys". Lol! Richard wasn't as entertaining to me this time around. It might have been just me, but we seemed to have a lot of Richard the whole weekend...he's like a stage filler. Plus the Con had done that with the band too...any time we had to wait the band filled in. It was a bit overkill for me...lol. Of Course Sunday is always the best day of the Con because we get to see Jensen and Jared. They were adorable together as usual...lol. I love them together! They act like kids/brothers in real life, just like on the show. They were teasing each other while answering the endless line of questions being battered at them by fans. Lol. We had a huge surprise by Jensen before it was all said and done....I just about died!!!! JENSEN SANG FOR US!!!! OMG! *screaming heads off!*... Here's a youtube vid I found of it........ *I do not claim ownership of the characters and images! THIS IS NOT MEANT AS A COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT I AM SIMPLY A FAN! I DO NOT OWN THIS FOOTAGE!

I started this thread because I heard a couple things about the convention schedules for this year and figured it'd be a good way to have general updates.
Individual threads for cons you are interested in/may be attending are still welcome...we love to hear about testimonials about your prep excitement & what went on. This thread is basically news that doesn't warrant an entire individual thread or info that applies to cons in general.
The first thing that came to y mind is recent scuttlebutt that Creation Entertainment has branched out to the international con and is having a Jus in Bello con in Italy. Problem with that is, there has been a Jus in Bello con in Italy for years now and needless to say the organizers aren't happy. Mark Sheppard retweeted one of the organizers who was rather livid about it. I'm on CE's site and I see no mention of it so I don't know what that means but I'm interested in seeing where this goes.
I also notice that The NJ con (the only one I attended, in part) is no longer in Whippany or Parsippany but has yet again moved: to Secaucus. My mom used to commute to Secaucus from Philly...can't recall if this was when she was driving...and not sure my financial situation makes this any more doable...but I kind of admit to being intrigued into considering trying to go. Secaucus is less remote that Whippany or Parsippany and might be easier to get to by train or bus. It's also a better time of year for me since Sept isn't a black-out month for taking time off (should I still be at this current job by then).
I still can't see how they can bring Star Trek to Philly and not Supernatural. Going to all of these tiny towns and huge cities...there's not logic behind why we couldn't host a Supernatural con. I keep my fingers crossed though. if I just had to buy day passes and not worry about travel & lodging (most of you know I don't do autos/pix), I could do a con with ease.

Thanks for creating this thread.
They are having a Con in Minneapolis at the Convention Center in August 2015; its the first time in MN and I live in St Paul so I want to go but I don't know anything about Cons LOL. I briefly went on Creation a few weeks ago.
What does a day pass get you Dian? I don't know exactly what I'm interested in; I am getting emails now from them and it said individual autographs with J2 are sold out. I don't think I would buy a photo op; I don't take a good picture, never have, so that would ruin the pic for me LOL. Also I'm pretty shy to actually meet them, I'd probably faint!
You would think Philadelphia would be a prime city for a Con, no rhyme or reason to their decisions.

I was just on the Creation site to check the status of the Chicon 2015 tickets. Everything is selling out fast...I'm starting to panic. It seems like I do this to myself every year. I wanna kick myself in the rear for not getting a Jensen photo op for this year...ugh! It's too late...of course they're sold out.
