Michele, congrats again on the Stanley Cup, I love the picture.
My happy is twice in the last two weeks traffic was stopped while Canadian Geese and their babies crossed the street (two different places). Today I was driving and a turkey was about to cross a road with her baby turkeys. She was smart and went back when cars came along.

I find them to be a nuisance...they poop all over the place!

I hear you with the Canadian Geese Michele, we have them in MN, everywhere, never were around when I was young. I believe they are protected in Canada because they were once endangered (hard to believe) so now there are more than enough of them!!!
I have two happy place things: two weeks ago I got a 2012 Honda Civic with 30,000 miles on it; its so beautiful! Its metallic gray. It has screens and lights and working A/C!!! My old car was a 1995 Chevy Beretta, I think its crushed by now. RIP. It needed thousands of dollars of engine work, time to say farewell.
My second thing is I'm going to MINNCON this Friday!!! I will get to see the boys and all the rest. I waited a long time to get tickets because of $$$ so I got one of the last 2 Copper level tickets; they have this additional level of seating because of how the Minneapolis Convention Center is set up. The photo ops were sold out for the big 3; not sure I may be able to find an autograph for someone if I want one. I just wanted to jump in a little since its my first time.
I've heard they are making Mpls a regular Con too, not sure about that though.
Since its about 15 miles from home, I figured I had to do it; I'm nervous about driving there LOL, that is me, always worrying about something. I don't like freeway driving LOL. Also a bit nervous about leaving there late at night, but overall nervously excited to be going. I hope I have the stamina and energy for it all!!!

Also a bit nervous about leaving there late at night, but overall nervously excited to be going. I hope I have the stamina and energy for it all!!! The Canadian Geese were once endangered? I just think they all migrated here. Lol! Too funny. Congrat's on the car! That is quite an upgrade from your Beretta. I had a '92 Beretta...it was my 2nd car...I traded it in '96 for a '96 Monte Carlo. That was the biggest mistake I ever made. The Beretta was reliable, but needed maintenance...brakes & tires. Somehow I ended up buying a new car instead of doing the needed maintenance. Well that was dumb, cuz the '96 Monte Carlo turned out to be a lemon. That was the worst car I've owned to date. Constantly having engine problems with that thing. I had to get rid of it in '03...I bought an '03 Monte Carlo to replace the '96. Chevy had completely redesigned the engine in the Monte's by that time...thankfully. I loved that car! That was my favorite car...a black '03 Monte...it was my baby. Lol. Unfortunately GM struck again with me...I had a catastrophic engine failure in '10. The engine problem was hard to diagnose too...I had to take it to 3 places to find out from a engine specialist that it was a faulty part. Supposedly GM was aware of this defect and didn't do a recall. One of the cylinders was misfiring and dumping raw gas into the engine...very dangerous to drive with that issue. The mechanic said it was the cylinder lifter and only one was misfiring. Unfortunately he told me there were 5 more faulty lifters on the other engine cylinders. One was going to cost $1500...it wasn't worth the cost of the repairs...not times 6. The car wasn't worth anything by trade at this point either...I was so done with GM then. I leased a Mazda in '10 and ended up buying one in '12. That's what I'm currently driving...and the warranty just ran out. I did purchase an extended warranty this time...I've been burned too many times. Anyway this turned into a long winded story about my car history. Lol. Sorry! Have fun at the MINNCON!!! That is so cool that it's close to you too! That's like me over here with the CHICON. I've been fortunate enough to have attended multiple Con's here in Chicago. I love it! You'll have a blast, I'm sure! Supernatural fans rock! Keep us posted!

I'm net-having again. After a really helpful rep talked with me and gave me exact numbers, I relented and got FiOS. I talked to him yesterday and was able to get a morning appointment for today--when i was already off. So I didn't have to miss work. They kept the appointment time and were done pretty much in a little over an hour. The tech was out today and for us, things went smooth; he did have to come back to move the modem but even that was pretty quick and easy. And he was also nice and informative.
Once all set up, I contacted the eBay seller I bought a replacement DSL modem from to tell him I needed to return it and he told me to keep it AND refunded my money.
So this has been a pretty good day.
